Our story
CTG was founded in 1978 by Ralph Caudill, Sr. after discussing the confusing insurance plan at a deacon’s meeting at Flint Baptist Temple. For nearly 40 years, CTG focused on covering churches and related ministries, and steadily grew, thanks to successful long-term partnerships.
In 2016 Anton Thornquist, Ralph’s grandson, purchased CTG and expanded the company to begin covering nonprofit organizations of all sizes and causes, as well as human services organizations.
Anton saw how these sectors were underserved much like churches were back when the company was founded, so now CTG seeks to help even more kinds of organizations with their important work.
